4/6/11 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Wednesday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 6. April 2011 19:15

Just a couple of thoughts today:

I was watching the Biggest Loser last night and a few tidbits of information sparked my interest.  If you love guacamole they suggested getting Wholly Guacamole.  It's all natural and 90% guacamole.  It's also only 100 calories and you can get it in the produce section.  That could be your "fat" for the day (where I usually do a light dressing or margarine).

Even though Jenny Craig says ketchup is a "free" item the Biggest Loser last night said it's riddled with sodium and very high in sugar.  I think this explains why my body can't handle ketchup right now.  It's adding unecessary calories to my diet.  If you really love ketchup try the kind that's low in sugar, zero sodium.  It tastes a little different but you get used to it.

Sometimes you have friends over or you're just tired and you just feel like having food delivered.  My suggestion?  Order a salad and spaghetti (ask for light sauce).  Usually the portion size is huge so just cut it in half.  Eat half for dinner and then eat the other half for lunch or dinner the following day.
