9/15/10 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Wednesday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 16. September 2010 17:41

Tonight we went out for family dinner.  It was my husband's little half-sister's birthday so we all celebrated after work.  She turned nine years old...or will technically on Friday!  I am very big on family and spending time together and I knew how much it meant to his sister to go to dinner.  However, I have barely been able to function after work everyday.  It takes all my effort just to be "on stage" with my students.  I pretty much thought there was no way after school I could make it to dinner and had let my husband know that he would be going by himself.  But, luckily today was a "good" day and I felt enough energy left to at least meet for dinner.  I'm so glad I went because I could tell she was so happy to see both of us.  Everyday is certainly different from the last with this pregnancy!

Indeed bonding time with your family is a superb experience. It can't be bought, so keep it up! Don't let your work hinder your precious bonding time. Remember, if there is a will, there is a way. So there is no reason not to be with your family, except of course for some unavoidable circumstances like body aches. By the way, your recipe is good.

It is amazing how you stick to your diet like that, I still need to improve my self discipline a lot.
